1,889 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 79,767.
2,127 new recoveries were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries in the Kingdom to 61,850.
38 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 1,491. These deaths were recorded in Casablanca (16), Marrakech (4), Ouarzazate (3), Khenifra (3), El Jadida (2), Taza (2), Oujda (1), Dakhla (1), Agadir (1), Meknes (1), Fez (1), Fqih Bensaleh (1) and Beni Mellal (1).
The country has 16,426 active cases, including 251 in critical conditions. 49 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat region records 793 new cases : 691 in Casablanca, 34 in Nouaceur, 23 in Settat, 20 in Mohammedia, 10 in Berrechid, 9 in Mediouna and 6 cases in El Jadida.
Drâa-Tafilalet recorded 234 new cases : 85 in Errachidia, 64 in Midelt, 46 in Zagora, 22 in Tinghir and 17 cases in Ouarzazate. Rabat-Salé-Kenitra follows with 198 new infections : 71 in Salé, 42 in Sidi Slimane, 37 in Skhirat-Temara, 23 in Rabat, 14 in Sidi Kacem, 6 cases in Khemisset and 5 cases in Kenitra.
For its part, Marrakech-Safi recorded 184 new cases : 126 in Marrakech, 16 in Essaouira, 13 in the province of El Haouz, 10 in Kelaat Sraghna, 9 in Youssoufia, 5 in Rhamna, 3 in Chichaoua and two cases in Safi.
In Beni Mellal-Khenifra, 153 cases were confirmed : 41 in Beni Mellal, 32 in Khouribga, 31 in Azilal, 25 in Khenifra and 24 cases in Fqih Bensaleh.
85 new infections were recorded in Fez-Meknes : 23 in Fez, 16 in Taza, 11 in Sefrou, 7 in Ifrane, 6 in Taounate, 3 in El Hajeb and two cases in Boulemane.
74 new infections were recorded in Souss-Massa : 53 in Agadir Ida Ou Tanane and 21 cases in Inzegane Ait Melloul.
72 cases were recorded in Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (36 in Tanger-Assilah, 30 in Tetouan, 4 in M'diq-Fnideq, 1 in Larache and 1 case in Fahs Anjra) and 36 cases in the Oriental (24 in Oujda-Angad, 3 in Guercif, 3 in Driouch, 2 in Taourirt, 2 in Nador and 2 cases in Jerada).
43 new cases were confirmed in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab), 15 cases in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (11 in Laâyoune, 3 in Es-Smara and one case in Tarfaya) and 2 cases in Guelmim, in the region of Guelmim-Oued Noun.
