Salvamento Marítimo, a sea search and rescue agency that operates in Spain, said on Sunday that it had sent a request for assistance to Morocco in order to search for a boat that has been missing since Friday in the Mediterranean.

According to EFE, Salvamento Marítimo has been searching for this ship since Sunday after it disappeared on Friday and its track was lost 22 nautical miles south of the municipality of Adra, in Almeria.

The aforementioned body contacted Morocco so that a search could also be carried out in Moroccan ports and marinas.

A spokeswoman for Salvamento Marítimo told EFE that search operations are carried to try to find the missing ship.
