Tens of coronavirus infections recorded in a Marrakech psychiatric hospital

Tens of coronavirus infections have been recorded in the Saâda psychiatric hospital in Marrakech. According to the National Health Federation (FNS), a health workers trade union, the number of people who tested positive for the virus has reached 41, including 29 patients and 12 health workers.

According to local newspaper Kech24, the Federation denounced «the management of the hospital and the total absence of any health plan to cope with the increase in the number of covid-19 cases».

The body warned against «the lack of places to isolate patients», in addition to «the lack of adequate protection kits for all health workers» and «the technical inadequacy of the hospital to house infected patients».

According to the union, the situation is such that «it is impossible to take care of patients with covid-19».
