Wanted by Interpol, a 45-year-old Moroccan woman arrested in Spain

El Ejido (Almería) police have arrested a 45-year-old woman of Moroccan origin wanted by Interpol for bringing cannabis resin into Spain, Europa Press reports.

According to the same source, which quotes a police report, Interpol issued an arrest warrant for the woman in December 2012. The Tangier Maritime police «surprised her trying to leave the Moroccan port city with nearly 4.5 kilos of the drug in all stuck on to various parts of her body», Euro Weekly News wrote.

Investigators found out that she was hiding in El Ejido. She was then located and arrested. She will be handed to the Moroccan authorities to serve her prison sentence.
