Covid-19 : 44 deaths in 24 hours, a new daily record in Morocco

1,422 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 119,107.

1,877 new recoveries were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries in the Kingdom to 97,468.

44 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 2,113. These deaths were recorded in Casablanca (13), Berrechid (4), Marrakech (4), Oujda-Angad (3), Midelt (3), Tétouan (2), Sefrou (1), Meknès (1), Taza ( 1), Tinghir (1), Azilal (1), Khouribga (1), Khénifra (1), Beni Mellal (1), Youssoufia (1), Sidi Kacem (1), Khemisset (1), Skhirat-Témara (1 ), Rabat (1), Mediouna (1) and Nouaceur (1).

The country has 19,526 active cases, including 415 in critical conditions. 39 of them are on ventilators.

Casablanca-Settat leads the way with 542 cases: 430 in Casablanca, 29 in El Jadida, 25 in Nouaceur, 21 in Settat, 16 in Berrechid, 14 in Mohammedia, 4 in Mediouna, 2 in Benslimane and one case in Sidi Bennour.

Next comes Rabat-Salé-Kenitra with 247 new infections: 66 in Salé, 39 in Rabat, 35 in Kénitra, 33 in Skhirat-Témara, 29 in Sidi Slimane, 28 in Khemisset and 17 cases in Sidi Kacem.

Marrakech-Safi follows with 157 new cases: 66 in Marrakech, 27 in Kelaa des Sraghna, 26 in Rhamna, 19 in Essaouira, 9 in Youssoufia, 8 in Chichaoua and two cases in Safi.

133 new infections were confirmed in Beni Mellal-Khénifra: 47 in Beni Mellal, 44 in Fqih Bensaleh, 20 in Khénifra, 18 in Khouribga and 4 cases in Azilal.

In Drâa-Tafilalet, 137 new cases were recorded: 51 in Tinghir, 33 in Errachidia, 29 in Ouarzazate and 19 cases in Midelt.

Fès-Meknes recorded 66 new infections: 20 in Taza, 17 in Meknes, 16 in Fès, 5 in Boulmane, 5 in Sefrou, 2 in El Hajeb and one case in Ifrane.

62 new cases were confirmed in the Oriental region: 34 in Oujda-Angad, 13 in Berkane, 6 in Jerada, 5 in Figuig and 4 in Taourirt.

Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima recorded 39 new cases: 17 in Tétouan, 11 in Larache, 5 in M'diq-Fnideq, 2 in Tanger-Assilah, 2 in Ouazzane, one case in Chefchaouen and another in Al Hoceima.

37 new infections were recorded in Souss-Massa (25 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 8 in Taroudant, 3 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul and one case in Chtouka Ait Baha).

In the southern provinces, only 7 cases have been confirmed in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab).
