An Italian woman who joined alongside her Moroccan husband the Islamic State in Syria was arrested and repatriated to Italy, Euro News reported.
The woman moved to Syria in 2015 and travelled with her husband and their three children. The arrest took place in Syria on charges of terrorism.
According to the Carabinieri (Italian Police), her husband died in an ISIS battle while in Syria.
«We believe that terrorism can be fought by bringing the fighters back, and perhaps by making them change their minds as has happened in many cases», Anti-Terrorist Corps in Milan, Alberto Nobili, said.
