The border with Ceuta was exceptionally opened, Wednesday, to allow the entry of Moroccan women that had been stranded in the city.

According to El Faro de Ceuta, which quotes the Government Delegation in Ceuta, women and some children have been able to return home, within the framework of a repatriation operation after «months of negotiations between Spain and the Morocco».

«During the May repatriations, no one explained how the people who were able to leave were chosen», the delegation said. «It was only today that the government delegation confirmed that the Tarajal was going to open today», they added.

The same source announced that another repatriation operation will take place on Friday.

For the record, Moroccans stranded in Melilla will also be repatriated through a series of operations spanned over this week.
