Greenpeace has ranked Morocco among the most air polluting countries in Africa, blaming the Jorf Lasfar coal-fired power plant and the Mohammedia coal-oil power plant.
While Morocco is faced with water stress and irregular rainfall, some of the Kingdom's most important rivers, such as Oued Sebou, are particularly threatened by pollution.
Data provided by the State of Global Air report on air pollution in Morocco is quite positive when compared to other MENA region countries.
