Morocco drops to 85th in Global Peace Index, ranking 7th in Arab region

The 2025 Global Peace Index, published by the Institute for Economics and Peace, ranked Morocco 85th out of 163 countries worldwide, placing it seventh in the Arab region.

GPI 2020 : Morocco stagnates in a region considered to be the least peaceful in the world

The 2020 Global Peace Index, conducted by the Institute for Economics and Peace, ranks Morocco 83rd after it was 90th in the previous edition. The Kingdom only gains one place in the MENA region, which remains, for the sixth consecutive year, the least peaceful region in the world.
