26.71.قَالُوا نَعْبُدُ أَصْنَاماً فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا عَاكِفِينَ

26.71. – «Nous adorons, dirent-ils, des idoles auxquelles nous exprimons en permanence notre attachement.»

26.71 . They said : We worship idols , and are ever devoted unto them .

26.71. Qaloo naAAbudu asnaman fanathallu laha AAakifeena

26.72.قَالَ هَلْ يَسْمَعُونَكُمْ إِذْ تَدْعُونَ

26.72. – «Vous entendent-elles, dit Abraham, quand vous les invoquez?

26.72 . He said : Do they hear you when ye cry?

26.72. Qala hal yasmaAAoonakum ith tadAAoona

26.73.أَوْ يَنفَعُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَضُرُّونَ

26.73. Vous sont-elles utiles ou peuvent-elles vous nuire?»

26.73 . Or do they benefit or harm you?

26.73. Aw yanfaAAoonakum aw yadurroona

26.74.قَالُوا بَلْ وَجَدْنَا آبَاءنَا كَذَلِكَ يَفْعَلُونَ

26.74. – «Non, répondirent-ils, mais c'est ainsi que nous avons vu agir nos pères.»

26.74 . They said : Nay , but we found our fathers acting on this use .

26.74. Qaloo bal wajadna abaana kathalika yafAAaloona

26.75.قَالَ أَفَرَأَيْتُم مَّا كُنتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ

26.75. – «Sachez, dit Abraham, que les idoles que vous adorez

26.75 . He said : See now that which ye worship ,

26.75. Qala afaraaytum ma kuntum taAAbudoona
