39.56.أَن تَقُولَ نَفْسٌ يَا حَسْرَتَى علَى مَا فَرَّطتُ فِي جَنبِ اللَّهِ وَإِن كُنتُ لَمِنَ السَّاخِرِينَ

39.56. et avant que l'âme ne soit réduite à s'écrier : “Quel malheur d'avoir été si négligente envers Dieu et de m'être rangée du côté des railleurs !”

39.56 . Lest any soul should say Alas , my grief that I was unmindful of Allah , and I was indeed among the scoffers!

39.56. An taqoola nafsun ya hasrata AAala ma farrattu fee janbi Allahi wa-in kuntu lamina alssakhireena

39.57.أَوْ تَقُولَ لَوْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ هَدَانِي لَكُنتُ مِنَ الْمُتَّقِينَ

39.57. ou à dire : “Si Dieu m'avait guidée, j'aurais été parmi ceux qui Le craignent !”

39.57 . Or should say : if Allah had but guided me I should have been among the dutiful!

39.57. Aw taqoola law anna Allaha hadanee lakuntu mina almuttaqeena

39.58.أَوْ تَقُولَ حِينَ تَرَى الْعَذَابَ لَوْ أَنَّ لِي كَرَّةً فَأَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ

39.58. ou à dire, à la vue du châtiment : “Si je pouvais retourner sur Terre, je serais du nombre des vertueux !”«

39.58 . Or should say , when it seeth the doom : Oh , that I had but a second chance that I might be among the righteous!

39.58. Aw taqoola heena tara alAAathaba law anna lee karratan faakoona mina almuhsineena

39.59.بَلَى قَدْ جَاءتْكَ آيَاتِي فَكَذَّبْتَ بِهَا وَاسْتَكْبَرْتَ وَكُنتَ مِنَ الْكَافِرِينَ

39.59. – «Regrets bien tardifs, lui sera-t-il dit. Mes signes te sont bien parvenus, et tu les as, cependant, traités de mensonges, préférant par orgueil rejoindre le camp des infidèles !»

39.59 . ( But now the answer will be ) : Nay , for My revelations came unto thee , but thou didst deny them and wast scornful and wast among the disbelievers .

39.59. Bala qad jaatka ayatee fakaththabta biha waistakbarta wakunta mina alkafireena

39.60.وَيَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ تَرَى الَّذِينَ كَذَبُواْ عَلَى اللَّهِ وُجُوهُهُم مُّسْوَدَّةٌ أَلَيْسَ فِي جَهَنَّمَ مَثْوًى لِّلْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ

39.60. Le Jour de la Résurrection, ceux qui auront menti sur le compte de Dieu apparaîtront le visage noir d'épouvante. La Géhenne ne constitue-t-elle pas un asile pour les orgueilleux?

39.60 . And on the Day of Resurrection thou ( Muhammad ) seest those who lied concerning Allah with their faces blackened . Is not the home of the scorners in hell?

39.60. Wayawma alqiyamati tara allatheena kathaboo AAala Allahi wujoohuhum muswaddatun alaysa fee jahannama mathwan lilmutakabbireena
