71.6.فَلَمْ يَزِدْهُمْ دُعَائِي إِلَّا فِرَاراً
71.6. mais mes prédications n'ont fait qu'accroître leur répulsion.
71.6 . But all my calling doth but add to their repugnance ;
71.6. Falam yazidhum duAAa-ee illa firaran
71.7.وَإِنِّي كُلَّمَا دَعَوْتُهُمْ لِتَغْفِرَ لَهُمْ جَعَلُوا أَصَابِعَهُمْ فِي آذَانِهِمْ وَاسْتَغْشَوْا ثِيَابَهُمْ وَأَصَرُّوا وَاسْتَكْبَرُوا اسْتِكْبَاراً
71.7. Chaque fois que je les ai prêchés, pour que Tu leur pardonnes, ils se sont bouché les oreilles avec leurs doigts, se sont enveloppés dans leurs manteaux et se sont obstinés dans leur refus, faisant ainsi montre d'un orgueil extrême.
71.7 . And lo ! whenever I call unto them that Thou mayest pardon them they thrust their fingers in their ears and cover themselves with their garments and persist ( in their refusal ) and magnify themselves in pride .
71.7. Wa-innee kullama daAAawtuhum litaghfira lahum jaAAaloo asabiAAahum fee athanihim waistaghshaw thiyabahum waasarroo waistakbaroo istikbaran
71.8.ثُمَّ إِنِّي دَعَوْتُهُمْ جِهَاراً
71.8. Je les ai à nouveau prêchés publiquement.
71.8 . And lo! I have called unto them aloud ,
71.8. Thumma innee daAAawtuhum jiharan
71.9.ثُمَّ إِنِّي أَعْلَنتُ لَهُمْ وَأَسْرَرْتُ لَهُمْ إِسْرَاراً
71.9. Je me suis adressé à eux tantôt en haussant le ton, tantôt en les entretenant secrètement.
71.9 . And lo! I have made public proclamation unto them , and I have appealed to them in private .
71.9. Thumma innee aAAlantu lahum waasrartu lahum israran
71.10.فَقُلْتُ اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّهُ كَانَ غَفَّاراً
71.10. Je leur disais : “Implorez le pardon de votre Seigneur ! Il est Plein de mansuétude !
71.10 . And I have said : Seek pardon of your Lord Lo! He was ever Forgiving .
71.10. Faqultu istaghfiroo rabbakum innahu kana ghaffaran
