Morocco # English board

I would like to know,concerning moroccans living in USA or CANADA? How many times they're come back to Morocco? one or more per year or every 2/3 years etc...?

and why? is it for a professional reason or other as price of travel...

but only 2 persons talk about their travel "frequency" ?!!?

Personally, i try to be there every 2 to 3 years...main reason is for my children and grand-parents that I adore so much.

In other hand, my wife goes every year.

It may happen that I go more than once in a year (ie in 2002 and 2003) but that was due to circumstances beyond my control.

At the beginning, I went every 2-3 years, but 5 is now my standard. I don’t like it, but that’s what it is. I feel that brother Arabi explained it better here when he wrote: Brother Almotanabi, I must admit that I feel the same way as you do, in fact my only link with Morocco is my family.
I feel that people grow new roots when they go somewhere new, and their identity changes as part of this process. So for me I don't feel a particular belonging to Morocco, I feel more at home around other Muslims, whatever their nationality or culture. Muslims have the same common concerns and worldview, and so I feel more belonging with them. I hope I’m not doing plagiarism here..
