May be she witnessed too much horror, brutality and barbarism at the hand of the invaders. May be she was protecting her family as no one would come to her rescue in a lawless country like Iraq. May be she was trying to buy the protection of these monsters. Here you go, have my food, but don’t shoot at my family. Don’t kill my husband. Don’t touch my children. Don’t destroy my house.
