US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs David Schenker will soon travel to Morocco in order to «further promote the U.S.-Morocco strategic partnership», the US Department of State announced Monday in a statement.
«In Morocco, Assistant Secretary Schenker, joined by Ambassador David T. Fischer, will meet with government officials to discuss opportunities for increasing economic and security cooperation to further promote the U.S.-Morocco strategic partnership», the source added.
This visit is part of the US official's tour (October 12–21) that will also take him to Lebanon and the United Kingdom.
Reflection of a solid and long-standing alliance, the strategic partnership between Morocco and the United States includes several diplomatic, defense and economic aspects, as well as cultural and human exchanges.
