Covid-19: Morocco decides to extend, for another 14 days, lockdown measures in Casablanca

The government has decided to extend, for 14 additional days as of Monday, the implementation of the measures decided previously in the prefecture of Casablanca to curb the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19).

In a press release, the government said that this decision comes following the conclusions of the daily monitoring and regular evaluation operations carried out by the watch and monitoring committees of the prefecture of Casablanca, and taking into account the recommendations of the Scientific and Technical Committee on the need to continue the necessary measures to curb the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19).

The government stressed that the preventive measures taken previously will be maintained during this period, calling on citizens to strictly respect the directives by the public authorities and the necessary preventive measures including social distancing, hygiene rules and the obligation of wearing masks.
