A Royal Navy coast guard, which was patrolling in the Mediterranean, thwarted early Friday morning off the coast of Cabo Negro an attempt to smuggle nearly 2 tons of drugs, said a military source.
This operation led to the arrest of four people and the seizure of nearly 2 tons of drugs and two boats.
The arrested people, the two boats as well as the drugs seized were transported by the coast guard of the Royal Navy to the port of Marina-Smir and handed over to the competent authorities for the usual legal procedures, the source added.
