4,412 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 349,688.
4,538 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 298,574.
50 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 5,739. 17 of these deaths were recorded in the Casablanca-Settat region, 9 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 6 in Marrakech-Safi, 5 in Fès-Meknès, 4 in Souss-Massa, 10 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, 3 in the Oriental and 1 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra as well as one other death in Drâa-Tafilalet.
The country has 45,375 active cases, including 1,032 in critical conditions. 87 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat comes first, with 1,783 cases: 1,401 in Casablanca, 68 in Berrechid, 61 in Nouaceur, 59 in Mohammedia, 55 in Settat, 50 in Médiouna, 47 in El Jadida, 25 in Sidi Bennour and 17 cases in Benslimane. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, with 937 cases: 228 in Kénitra, 197 in Salé, 162 in Skhirat-Témara, 91 in Rabat, 6 in Khemisset, 35 in Sidi Kacem and 14 cases in Sidi Slimane.
Souss-Massa follows with 422 new cases: 230 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 80 in Inzegane-Aït Melloul, 42 in Chtouka-Ait Baha, 34 in Taroudant, 30 in Tiznit and 6 cases in Tata. 388 new infections were recorded in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma: 166 in Tanger-Assilah, 74 in Tétouan, 44 in M’diq-Fnideq, 32 in Larache 28 in Al Hoceima, 28 in Ouazzane and 16 cases in Chefchaouen.
Marrakech-Safi recorded 331 new cases: 219 in Marrakech, 37 in Kelaa des Sraghna, 35 in Essaouira, 21 in Youssoufia, 7 in Chichaoua, 6 in Safi, 5 in Al Haouz and 1 case in the province of Rhamna. The Oriental region recorded 215 new infections: 81 in Oujda-Angad, 47 in Berkane, 26 in Jerada, 19 in Nador, 19 in Guercif, 12 in Taourirt, 7 cases in Driouch and 4 cases in Figuig.
The region of Guelmim-Oued Noun recorded 137 new cases (65 cases in Guelmim, 50 in Assa Zag, 21 in Sidi Ifni and 1 case in Tan Tan). As for the Fès-Meknès region, 107 new cases were recorded: 32 in Fès, 32 in Taza, 17 in Sefrou, 12 in Meknès, 5 in Moulay Yacoub, 5 in Ifrane and 4 cases in El Hajeb.
79 infections were recorded in Drâa-Tafilalet (23 in Errachidia, 18 in Midelt, 14 in Ouarzazate, 14 in Zagora and 10 cases in Tinghir), while 65 cases were recorded in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (54 in Laâyoune, 7 in Es-Smara, 3 in Boujdour and 1 case in Tarfaya).
The Beni Mellal-Khénifra region recorded 65 infections (28 in Fqih Bensaleh, 14 in Khouribga, 11 in Beni Mellal as well as 3 cases in Khénifra), while 36 cases were confirmed in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab).
