European Commissioners Johansson and Várhelyi to visit Morocco on Tuesday

The European Commissioners for Home Affairs Ylva Johansson, and for Neighborhood and Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi will visit Morocco on Tuesday, the European Commission announced in a press release.

The European commissioners, who will hold talks with several senior Moroccan officials, will «reaffirm the solid partnership with the EU», underlined the same source.

They will discuss «areas of mutual interest and new opportunities for cooperation with this strategic partner, as part of the new impetus given to the EU-Morocco partnership since the Association Council in June 2019 and the adoption of a joint declaration», wrote the press release.

This visit will be an opportunity for the European Commissioner for Home Affairs to visit several projects funded by the EU in the field of labor migration and migrant integration. She will also visit the Mohammed VI Institute for Imam Training and will conduct a technical visit of Morocco's border management activities in Tangier, the same source added.
