3,996 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 372,620.
4,827 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 323,814.
73 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 6,136. 22 of these deaths were recorded in the Casablanca-Settat region, 12 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 8 in the Oriental region, 7 in Souss-Massa, 6 in Fès-Meknès, 4 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, 4 in Guelmim-Oued Noun, 4 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra, 3 in Marrakech-Safi, 2 in Drâa-Tafilalet and 1 death in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra.
The country has 42,670 active cases, including 955 in critical conditions. 75 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat comes first, with 1,348 cases: 939 in Casablanca, 88 in Mohammedia, 72 in Nouaceur, 72 in El Jadida, 47 in Settat, 46 in Berrechid, 44 in Médiouna, 30 in Sidi Bennour and 10 cases in Benslimane. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, with 853 cases: 289 in Salé, 232 in Kénitra, 160 in Skhirat-Témara, 97 in Rabat, 43 in Sidi Slimane, 23 in Khémisset and 9 cases in Sidi Kacem.
Souss-Massa follows with 553 new cases: 237 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 125 in Inzegane-Aït Melloul, 111 in Taroudant, 46 in Chtouka-Ait Baha, 20 in Tata and 14 cases in Tiznit. 361 new infections were recorded in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma: 158 in Tanger-Assilah, 54 in Tétouan, 50 in Larache, 36 in Al Hoceima, 23 in M’diq-Fnideq, 19 in Chefchaouen, 18 in Ouazzane and 3 cases in Fahs Anjra.
Marrakech-Safi recorded 288 new cases: 187 in Marrakech, 39 in Essaouira, 23 in Youssoufia, 21 in Chichaoua, 13 in Al Haouz, 3 in Rhamna and 2 cases in Kelaa des Sraghna. As for the region of Guelmim-Oued Noun, it recorded 129 new infections (71 in Guelmim, 35 in Sidi Ifni and 3 cases in Assa Zag).
The Oriental region recorded 101 new infections: 43 in Oujda-Angad, 26 in Berkane, 19 in Nador, 5 in Jerada, 3 in Guercif, 3 in Driouch and 2 cases in Taourirt. Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra recorded 100 new cases (78 in Laâyoune, 18 in Es-Smara and 4 cases in Boujdour).
The region of Drâa-Tafilalet has recorded 90 cases (42 in Errachidia, 19 in Ouarzazate, 12 in Zagora, 10 in Midelt and 7 in Tinghir) while the region of Beni Mellal-Khénifra recorded 78 infections (32 in Khouribga, 17 in Fqih Bensaleh, 16 in Azilal, and 11 cases in Khénifra).
71 cases were confirmed in Fès-Meknes (29 in Fès, 12 in Taza, 11 in Meknès, 8 in Sefrou, 5 in Taounate, as well as 3 cases in El Hajeb) while 24 others were recorded in the region of Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab, all in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab.
