1,531 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 381,188.
2,968 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 334,269.
75 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 6,320. 22 of these deaths were recorded in the Casablanca-Settat region, 8 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 7 in Souss-Massa, 7 in Marrakech-Safi, 6 in the Oriental region, 6 in Guelmim-Oued Noun, 5 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra, 4 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, 3 in Drâa-Tafilalet and one other casualty in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra.
The country has 40,599 active cases, including 937 in critical conditions. 72 of them are on ventilators.
The region of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra comes first with 573 cases during the last 24 hours: 131 in Skhirat-Témara, 127 in Kénitra, 100 in Salé, 88 in Rabat, 65 in Sidi Kacem, 32 in Khemisset and 30 cases in Sidi Slimane. Then comes Casablanca-Settat with 384 cases: 281 in Casablanca, 25 in Berrechid, 22 in Nouaceur, 19 in El Jadida, 16 in Mohammedia, 15 in Settat, 3 in Sidi Bennour, 2 in Médiouna and one case in Benslimane.
Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma follows with 181 new cases: 79 in Tanger-Assilah, 45 in Al Hoceïma, 30 in Ouazzane, 10 in Chefchaouen, 9 in Tétouan, 6 in M’diq-Fnideq, one case in Larache and one other in Fahs Anjra. Souss-Massa recorded 112 new cases: 93 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 7 in Taroudant, 5 in Chtouka-Ait Baha, 4 in Tata and 3 cases in Inzegane-Aït Melloul.
Marrakech-Safi recorded 97 new cases: 59 in Marrakech, 20 in Safi, 10 in Chichaoua, 4 in Essaouira, 2 in Youssoufia and two cases in the province of Rhamna. In the Oriental region, 65 new infections were recorded: 29 in Oujda-Angad, 16 in Nador, 6 in Berkane, 6 in Driouch, 5 in Jerada and three cases in Taourirt.
As for the region of Fès-Meknès new infections were recorded: 23 in Fès, 14 in Meknès, 11 in Sefrou, 7 in Taza, 6 in ifrane, one in El Hajeb and another in Moulay Yacoub. 23 cases were recorded also in the region of Beni Mellal-Khénifra (20 in Beni Mellal and 3 in Fqih Bensaleh).
Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra recorded 18 new cases, all in the city of Laâyoune and 13 cases were recorded in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (region of Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab), while the region of Guelmim-Oued Noun recorded 2 cases, both in Guelmim.
The region of Drâa-Tafilalet has not recorded any new infection during the last 24 hours.
