More than 126,000 people have received their first shots of the anti-covid-19 vaccine so far in Morocco, an official at the health ministry said on Monday.
«This shows that the launch of the vaccination campaign has been successful so far», the director of the population department at the Ministry of Health, Abdelhakim Yahyane, told MAP.
The vaccination campaign is taking place smoothly, without any risk of side effects, he added.
Launched Thursday by King Mohammed VI, the vaccination campaign will be free for all citizens with the objective of immunizing all components of the Moroccan people (30 million people, or about 80% of the population), reducing then eliminating cases of infection as well as related-deaths and containing the spread of the virus.
