Casablanca police services arrested, on Tuesday evening, three individuals who made a video posted on instant messaging applications and containing a violent content that undermines the feeling of security and threatens the safety of people and goods.
The Casablanca police interacted with rigor and promptness with the said video, noted a press release from the National Police (DGSN).
In this video, people armed with knives and a ferocious dog faked an assault with a knife against an individual and filmed him as thrown in a sewer, it said.
The investigations revealed that these are fictitious criminal acts and that the suspects recorded this video clip as a short film to post it on YouTube, with the aim of making money out of the views, added the same source.
Three of the suspects were remanded in police custody for the investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office, to shed light on this case and arrest all the accomplices involved in this fictitious crime which threatens the citizens' feeling of security, concluded the DGSN.
