King Mohammed VI chaired, Thursday at the Royal Palace in Fez, a Council of Ministers, devoted to the adoption of several draft legal texts and international agreements, said a press release from the spokesman of the Royal Palace, Abdelhak El Mrini.

The King inquired about the tragic incident that took place in a textile factory in Tangier and the measures that have been taken to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.

The Interior minister replied that, in parallel with the ongoing investigations, a preliminary plan had been drawn up within this framework. The King reiterated his instructions to the government regarding the need of taking action to implement said plan.

At least 28 people died in the tragedy after the basement of a villa, where an illegal textile unit was operating, was flooded by the heavy rains in the city of Tangier on Monday.
