The national vaccination campaign will be extended, starting from Wednesday, to the age group between 60 and 64 years and to people suffering from chronic diseases, the Ministry of Health announced on Sunday.

In parallel with the vaccination of the categories currently targeted, namely those over 65 years of age, the vaccination operation will be extended, as of February 24, to the age group 60-64 years, as well as to the first group of people suffering from chronic diseases, including cancerous diseases, and who benefit from mandatory medical coverage schemes (CNOPS, CNSS) and RAMED, specified the Ministry in a statement.

To this end, the Ministry of Health once again invites all citizens belonging to the targeted categories to continue their adhesion to this major national project, with a view to achieving herd immunity, by sending an SMS to the toll-free number 1717 or by consulting the liqahcorona.ma website to find out the date and place of vaccination.

It also stresses the need to continue to comply with preventive measures before, during, and after the Covid 19 vaccination operation to contribute to efforts to control the spread of the virus, particularly after the discovery of new variants in Morocco.
