The judicial police of Agadir arrested on Sunday, on the basis of accurate information provided by the services of the Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance, a truck driver and his son for their alleged involvement in the trafficking of over one tonne of cannabis resin.
The suspects, aged 46 and 20, were arrested on board a truck used to transport goods on the national road in the area of Amskroud, 48 km north of Agadir, the National Police (DGSN) said in a statement.
the search operation carried out inside the truck led to the seizure of forty packages of cannabis resin weighing one tonne and 40 kilograms, the same source added.
The two suspects were placed in custody at the disposal of the investigation carried out under the supervision of the prosecutor's office, to identify all persons involved in this case, the police concluded.
