Moroccan movie Zanka Contact awarded at the Luxor African Film Festival

Moroccan movie «Zanka Contact» directed by Ismael El Iraki, won the best long film award at the Luxor African Film Festival.

Filmed in the city of Casablanca and its surroundings, the 120-minute movie brings together actors Said Bay, Fatima Atef, Khansa Batma, Abdel Rahman Mbiha, Mourad Zaoui, and Ahmed Hammoud. The latter plays the role of «Larsen», a Moroccan drug-addicted rock star who made a career in England.

The Special Jury Prize in the feature film competition went to the Angolan film «Climatiseur» while the Egyptian actor Khaled El Sawy was greeted by the jury for his performance in the film «A Louer».

The jury of the feature film competition was composed of the Egyptian film director Amir Ramses, Tunisian film director Linda Belkhiriya and Nigerian filmmaker Michael Barish.
