Covid-19 : Morocco bans gatherings on public road in Rabat

The Wilaya of the region of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra has announced total ban of gatherings on the public road to avoid any violation of the state of health emergency measures.

The Wilaya pointed out in a statement that posts attributed to National coordination of forcibly contracted teachers are circulating in social networks calling for holding demonstrations on the public road in addition to a national rally in the city of Rabat, next Tuesday and Wednesday (April 6-7,2021).

Given the preventive measures taken by the Government to curb the spread of Covid-19, especially following the occurrence of new strains, and taking into account the extension of the state of health emergency until April 10, 2021, local authorities announce the ban of any gathering on the public road to avoid any violation of the measures of the state of health emergency, the statement said.
