The Regional Vigilance and Monitoring Committee of Fez-Meknes denied, Monday evening, a press release from the Prefectural Command Post (PCP) of the region, affirming that the movements from and to Fez will not experience any change. In an update relayed by the MAP, the committee explained that these are only proposals under consideration among other proposed measures. As a result, the terms of travel from and to the spiritual capital of the Kingdom have not changed and will continue until further notice, continues the same source.

The committee specifies in this regard that no decision has been made on the preventive measures that will be adopted to deal with the spread of the new coronavirus.

A little earlier, the Prefectural Command Post (PCP) announced the conditioning of travel to and from the city of Fez, from May 11 to 16, as part of the precautionary measures to fight against the pandemic of Covid-19.

It was decided on the occasion of the Aid Al Fitr holidays and the school holidays to subject the travel of citizens to and from Fez to obtaining a derogatory travel certificate issued by the local authorities and the vaccination certificate downloadable via the liqahcorona.ma site, or failing that, a negative PCR sample, from May 11 to 16, indicates a PCP press release, taken up by the MAP.

A decision which comes following the recommendations resulting from the meeting, Monday, of the members of the PCP, held at the headquarters of the Wilaya of the Fez-Meknes Region, and within the framework of compliance with the precautionary and preventive measures against the pandemic of Covid19, and with regard to the extension by the Moroccan government of the state of health emergency on the national territory until June 10, 2021, indicated the same source.

The PCP press release added that the local authorities therefore called on citizens to continue to observe the precautionary rules and to engage responsibly in the respect of preventive measures.
