Ceuta health authorities announced on Thursday that 9 Covid-19 cases were recorded among the people who have arrived irregularly in the city after crossing the border with Morocco.
According to the National Institute of Health Management (Ingesa), cited by El Faro de Ceuta, 6 of them are aged between 15 and 19 and 3 are under 15 years old.
Ingesa, who carried out 780 tests, said one of the cases had to be hospitalized and is under observation in the emergency room. El Faro de Ceuta indicates that 79 people are currently in quarantine after having been in contact with a positive case.
For the record, more than 8,000 people have crossed the border with Morocco and entered the city of Ceuta irregularly since Monday.
