Two people were killed and another slightly injured in an explosion that occurred, on Monday, in an industrial petrochemical unit in Mohammedia.
The Casablanca-Settat Regional Civil Defense Command said that the accident occurred around three in the afternoon, in a hydrochloric acid gas tank belonging the National Electrolysis and Petrochemical Company (SNEP) in Mohammedia, killing two and slightly injuring one.
The same source said that the two victims and the injured worker were involved in a welding operation near the site of the explosion, adding that the injured person was rushed to Moulay Abdellah hospital in Mohammedia to receive the necessary health care.
