Royal Navy rescues 91 migrants off Dakhla

A Royal Navy frigate, on a maritime patrol mission in the Atlantic, rescued on Thursday 186 km southwest of the city of Dakhla, a canoe heading towards the Canary Islands, with 91 sub-Saharan migrants on board, including 8 women and 1 baby, indicates a press release of the Royal Armed Forces.

The rescued people received the necessary care on board before being transported to the port of Dakhla and entrusted to the Royal Gendarmerie for the usual administrative procedures, specifies the same source.
