Father arrested after sons found dead in Tangier

On Monday evening (January 15th), in Casablanca's Al-Fidaa district, police apprehended a 40-year-old man with signs of mental illness. He is suspected of murdering his two sons (aged 5 and 8) and committing assault with a knife.

Casablanca police apprehended the suspect following a reported knife attack. Subsequent investigation revealed his involvement in the double murder of his minor children in Tangier.

Through inter-city police coordination, the victims' bodies were found at the family's Tangier residence and examined for evidence of violence.

The suspect is currently in pre-trial detention pending an official investigation under the supervision of the Public Prosecution. The investigation aims to clarify the circumstances and motives behind these tragic crimes.
