Marrakech Prefectural Judicial Police officers apprehended a 32-year-old British national on Sunday, suspecting him of forgery and identity theft to evade an international arrest warrant issued by British authorities.
According to a security source, the arrest stems from collaboration between Moroccan and British counterparts. Interpol had issued a red notice for the suspect, wanted in a criminal case involving drug trafficking, money laundering, and firearm possession.
Police investigations tracked and apprehended the suspect in Marrakech. He allegedly possessed forged foreign identity documents and entered the country illegally.
