Morocco attends Islamic Military Coalition meeting in Riyadh, reviews anti-terror efforts

The second meeting of the Islamic Military Coalition's Council of Defense Ministers convened in Riyadh on Saturday, with representatives from its 42 member states, including Morocco. Minister Delegate Abdellatif Loudiyi represented Morocco at the meeting, chaired by Saudi Arabia's Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz.

The gathering focused on reviewing the Coalition's strategy and initiatives to combat terrorism across various fields: ideological, media, military, and financial. Discussions emphasized the critical goals of these initiatives in confronting terrorism and eliminating violence and extremism.

Opening the meeting, Prince Khalid stressed that the ministers' presence reaffirmed their commitment to regional and international peace and stability, building upon the foundation laid during the Coalition's initial meeting.

Member states expressed their strong resolve to coordinate and unify efforts against terrorism, highlighting the importance of collaborative action and a global strategic plan to eradicate this threat.

Beyond its 42 members, the Coalition also collaborates with three partner countries to launch joint initiatives across its key areas of operation.
