Moroccan couscous and pasta producer Dari denies relationship with Israel

Moroccan couscous and pasta producer and exporter Dari issued, Monday, a statement denying any ties with Israel. The statement refers to claims circulating online as «false allegations» targeting its «reputation».

«Contrary to what has been reported regarding a recent partnership agreement with an Israeli company, Dary categorically denies this false information», the company stated. «We clarify that we have never concluded or signed any partnership agreement, neither with Israel nor with any Israeli company, neither in 2024 nor in 2023, or at any point in the past».

Dari emphasized its identity as a Moroccan company, founded by Mohamed Khalil. They highlighted their products' presence in over 60 countries across five continents, all manufactured in Morocco.

The company further clarified that in the past, «small quantities of Dari products were imported into the Israeli market based on requests from a specific consumer group attached to Moroccan identity and traditions». They added that these products were also marketed in Palestine.

Concluding the statement, Dari affirmed its commitment to ethical and social responsibility, considering «the tragedy that the Palestinian people are experiencing». Consequently, they confirmed their decision to «not intend to export any of its products to the Israeli market».
