The Casa Busway company announced the official launch of its first and second lines today, Friday, March 1, 2024. This expansion offers residents living near the special routes in the Ouled Azouz and Dar Bouazza communities new public transportation options.

The new service provides convenient connections between the Casabasway lines and the existing Casa Tramway lines. Additionally, passengers can benefit from consistent fares and ticketing options across both services. Existing tram tickets, reloadable cards, and subscription cards will remain valid for both the tramway and busway, allowing for free transfers within 30 minutes between connecting stations.

The service operates between 5:30 AM and 10:30 PM and boasts a capacity of 196 passengers per busway vehicle. Forty-two passenger stations have been established, including three dedicated connection points with the tramway lines.

The Casabasway fleet consists of 40, 21-meter-long vehicles designed for easy access with a low floor. Additionally, passenger information systems are available both inside the vehicles and at stations, providing real-time traffic updates.

Five commercial agencies will serve the combined Casabasway and Casatramway network.
