Morocco’s Central Bank has decided to maintain the country’s key interest rate unchanged at 3%, reads a statement by Bank Al-Maghrib relayed by MAP on Tuesday.
The decision was announced during a meeting of the Board of Bank Al-Maghrib on Tuesday in Rabat. The Board considered that the current 3% level of the key rate remains appropriate to reinforce the anchoring of inflation expectations and support its return to levels in line with the objective of price stability.
Bank Al-Maghrib also stressed that it will continue closely monitoring economic conditions and inflation.
