Morocco announces squad for World Cup qualifiers against Zambia and Congo Brazzaville

Moroccan national team coach Walid Regragui has unveiled the Atlas Lions' squad for a preparatory gathering at the Mohammed VI Football Complex ahead of their upcoming matches against Zambia and Congo Brazzaville.

These two matches are part of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, which will be held jointly by the United States, Mexico, and Canada. The first match is against Zambia at the Grand Stadium in Agadir on Friday, June 7, 2024, at 8:00 pm. The second match is against Congo Brazzaville on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at the Martyrs Stadium in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, at 5:00 pm local time.

The squad includes:

Goalkeepers: Yassine Bounou, Munir El Kajoui, El Mehdi Benabid

Defenders: Achraf Hakimi, Yahya Attiat Allah, Achraf Dari, Nayef Aguerd, Romain Saiss, Chadi Riad, Abdelkabir Abkar, Mohamed Chibi, Noussair Mazraoui

Midfielders: Amir Richardson, Sofyan Amrabet, Oussama El Azzouzi, Bilal El Khannouss, Azzedine Ounahi, Brahim Diaz, Oussama Targhalline, Ismail Saibari
