The Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, Abdellatif Hammouchi, held talks Monday with the Director General of Italian Public Security, Vittorio Pisani, during a visit to the Kingdom at the head of a large security delegation.
The two parties reviewed the various security threats and current international crises and their potential impact on the security of Morocco and Italy, as well as the dangers of transnational crime, including human trafficking, irregular migration, drug trafficking, money laundering and the proceeds of criminal activities.
This meeting provided an opportunity to assess the results of cooperation between the two countries in various security fields and to discuss the various issues of common interest.
Based on their shared willingness to strengthen cooperation in the security field, the two sides explored the means and tools to enhance bilateral coordination, both in terms of operational cooperation and in the area of exchange of expertise and technical assistance.
This meeting is part of the consolidation of international security cooperation mechanisms with the security organs of brotherly and friendly countries and the revitalization of bilateral and multilateral cooperation channels to neutralize terrorist threats and combat various forms of transnational crimes.
