On Thursday in Casablanca, the National Judicial Police Brigade (BNPJ) arrested a Danish national who was the subject of an international arrest warrant issued by Danish authorities. The suspect was involved in a case of voluntary manslaughter, likely due to retaliatory violence between international drug and psychotropic drug trafficking networks, according to a security source.

The arrest of the 32-year-old suspect is part of international cooperation in security and the DGSN's efforts to apprehend transnational criminals. A check of the Interpol database revealed the suspect had an international arrest warrant and a prison sentence imposed. Searches also led to the seizure of cannabis and a forged German passport with his photo and a false identity.

The suspect was placed in police custody for the judicial investigation. The DGSN's Interpol National Central Bureau in Rabat was instructed to inform its counterpart in Denmark of the arrest operation under the extradition procedure.
