On Sunday evening, three Moroccan fashion houses wowed the Parisian audience with a captivating display of traditional craftsmanship, showcasing the Caftan, a cherished symbol of Morocco's rich heritage. Amina Benzekri Benrahal, L'Altière, and Hind Berrada presented their collections in the grand finale of the Oriental Fashion Show, an event organized by Hind Joudar, an expert in Oriental fashion, at a prestigious Parisian hotel.

Joudar, who founded the «Silk Road and Andalusia» association to promote traditional Oriental attire, emphasized the uniqueness and cosmopolitan nature of the Caftan alongside creations from other Eastern countries like Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. She highlighted that the event continued the mission initiated at the first fashion week in Tangier, aiming to globalize the Moroccan Caftan and support national talent. The Paris edition, now in its 13th year, aligns perfectly with this goal of celebrating and promoting this exceptional heritage.

«The Moroccan Caftan embodies my culture, my connection to my country, its history, traditions, and heritage», Joudar remarked. «These intangible elements strengthen our ties and identity». The three fashion houses dazzled the audience with their innovative and elegant designs, offering modern interpretations of the Caftan while respecting its timeless charm.

Under the theme «The Silk Road», the Oriental Fashion Show honored the Caftan as a national symbol through remarkable works of art, highlighting the ancient skills of Moroccan artisans. This annual event has become a significant reference in the fashion world, bringing together designers and creators from around the globe. It serves as a bridge between East and West, celebrating the diversity and fusion of artistic influences.
