A partnership agreement on anti-doping and exchange of experiences was signed on Thursday in Rabat between the Moroccan Anti-Doping Agency (AMAD) and the Swiss Sports Integrity Agency (ASIS).
The agreement aims to develop AMAD's competencies in anti-doping and strengthen its committees' capacities. In a statement to the press, AMAD's head, Fatima Abouali, called the agreement with the internationally recognized Swiss Sports Integrity Agency a valuable opportunity to develop AMAD's work program. She highlighted the agency's progress over the past three years, which convinced the Swiss agency to solidify this cooperation.
This agreement opens avenues for collaboration, including establishing a quality management system to adopt best practices in anti-doping testing procedures (or another specific area). It will also expand channels of communication and international cooperation.
For his part, the director of the Swiss Sports Integrity Agency, Ernst König, emphasized that the cooperation with AMAD will focus on exchanging experiences and practices to develop the work of both agencies in the fight against doping and improve their working methods.
This agreement serves as a strong foundation for a fruitful collaboration that will benefit athletes from both countries, König concluded.
