Nasser Bourita, Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Carlos Pinto Pereira, his Guinea-Bissau counterpart, signed several agreements at the conclusion of the 3rd Moroccan-BissauGuinean Joint Cooperation Commission meeting on Tuesday, July 16, in Laâyoune.
The two ministers signed agreements on mutual administrative assistance in customs matters, road transport of passengers and goods, and reciprocal recognition of driving licenses.
Other agreements included a cooperation agreement in the field of zoo-sanitary protection of livestock, a memorandum of understanding in the field of justice, a memorandum of understanding on trade cooperation, a memorandum of understanding on integrated water resource management, and a memorandum of understanding in regional planning, urban development, housing, and urban policy.
Additionally, a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in information and communication was signed, alongside a memorandum of understanding in youth and women's activities, a memorandum of understanding in sports and executive training, and a framework agreement for vocational training cooperation.
Furthermore, the two ministers signed a framework cooperation agreement for the granting of academic scholarships, internships, and expertise sharing, a twinning agreement for the training of healthcare professionals, and an implementation program for crafts and the social economy for the period 2024-2026.
For the record, Guinea-Bissau opened a consulate in Dakhla in October 2020.
