Morocco has slipped two spots to 14th place in the latest FIFA World Rankings released on July 18th, with a total of 1669.44 points. Despite the drop, the Atlas Lions remain the top-ranked African nation, ahead of Senegal (19th), Egypt (36th), Côte d'Ivoire (38th), and Nigeria (39th). They also retain the top spot in the Arab world.
Argentina continues to reign supreme in the overall rankings, followed by Euro 2024 finalists France and Spain (3rd, +5), the newly crowned champions. England, the other finalist, sits close behind in 4th (+1), while Brazil (5th, -1) has dipped slightly. Belgium (6th, -3) is slowly falling out of the top 5, followed by the Netherlands (7th) and Portugal (8th, -2).
Colombia (9th, +3), runners-up to Argentina at the Copa America, rejoins the top 10, while Italy holds onto 10th place. This update reflects the results of recent continental tournaments in Europe, Latin America (both concluded last weekend), and the Oceania Football Cup won by New Zealand in June.
