A 62-year-old father of three died on Saturday, July 20, at the CNSS clinic in El Jadida, as a result of a violent pitbull attack. The tragedy occurred in the Saada neighborhood where the dog's owner, a reported delinquent, was known to keep several pit bulls on the roof of his house, causing fear in the community.

The victim, critically injured from the bites, was rushed to the hospital. The doctors' efforts to stop the bleeding were unsuccessful due to the depth of the wounds.

According to testimonies, the victim's son attempted to calm the dog owner, who was allegedly under the influence of psychotropic drugs, and requested that he confine his animals. In response, the pitbull attacked the young man and bit his father who intervened to help.

Despite numerous complaints filed by neighbors over the past few months regarding the delinquent and his dangerous dogs, no action had been taken prior to this fatal incident. After the attack, the dog owner fled but was quickly located and arrested by police in the Mnadla douar.

The following day, police accompanied by a dog handler seized the three pitbulls from the delinquent's property, eliminating the threat they posed to the neighborhood.
