In response to media reports of sudden deaths in the hospital's emergency room, the regional directorate of Health and Social Protection in Beni Mellal-Khénifra announced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding these tragedies.
The department advises urges the inhabitants of the region during the heatwave to avoid sun exposure, especially during peak hours. Several regions in Morocco have experienced days of extreme heat, with temperatures reaching 48°C in some areas. Residents are urged to contact healthcare services if needed.
