Moroccan surfer Ramzi Boukhiam showcased his skill and determination on Saturday, securing a spot in the second round of the Olympic-qualifying surf competition held in Teahupo'o, Tahiti.
Boukhiam impressed the judges and spectators alike in the 5th heat of the first round, earning a total of 9.76 points. His performance placed him second, just behind Brazilian surfer Joao Chianca, who scored 10.07 points and advanced directly to the third round. New Zealander Billy Stairmand finished third in the heat with 5.53 points.
