American multinational doughnut company and coffeehouse chain Krispy Kreme announced on Monday, August 5th, that it will open its first store in Morocco on August 9, 2024, reinforcing its position as a leader in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
«Known for its iconic Original Glazed® Doughnuts and coffee, the brand will now be making fresh Doughnuts daily in Morocco. This move marks a strategic expansion in the MENA region, further solidifying Krispy Kreme's leadership in this dynamic market», the company said in a press release.
Morocco was chosen for this new location due to its economic vitality and the consumption habits of its population, who cherish moments of pleasure and socializing, according to the same source.
«Our decision to enter the Moroccan market is part of our broader expansion strategy in the Middle East and North Africa region», said Raphael Duvivier, Krispy Kreme’s Development Director, in the press release.
«We know our iconic doughnuts and coffee will add an extra touch of joy to Moroccan consumers and bolster our presence in this crucial market», he added.
To celebrate this exceptional opening, a major festive event is planned. Attendees will enjoy a variety of entertainment and have the chance to win exclusive prizes. Among the prizes, a lucky few will receive a year's supply of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. Additionally, special offers and discounts will be available throughout the inaugural day.
The store will offer a selection of 12 Doughnuts, featuring popular flavors enjoyed worldwide. To appeal to Moroccan tastes, Krispy Kreme has developed exclusive doughnuts inspired by local flavors.
The shop will be in Arribat Center. Krispy Kreme collaborates with Moroccan suppliers for many of its ingredients and materials. This partnership will continue to grow after the boutique opens, fostering sustainable and mutually beneficial relationships with local communities and producers.
