Hundreds attempt to swim into Ceuta amid dense fog

Hundreds of people, including minors, attempted to take advantage of the dense fog around Ceuta in the early hours of Friday, August 16, to swim into the city.

Spanish and Moroccan security forces intervened to prevent the crossings. Local Spanish media reported that «large reinforcements arrived from the Moroccan side to try to prevent these attempts».
